Every action of our lives touches on some chord that will vibrate in eternity.
Edwin Hubbel Chapin

I apologize for the lack of blog entries during the past few days. There just hasn’t been much to write about. I’m forcing myself to find interesting things today, so you had better appreciate it 🙂 …

  1. State to get $65 million for rural broadband (Link) – Wisconsin will receive a federal stimulus that will allow us to have broadband Internet in rural areas.
  2. Taste on Broadway (Link) – Tomorrow night, Jeremy & I will trek downtown to see (& eat!) an array of samplings from local restaurants. I’ve done Taste of Chicago, so I’m interested to see Green Bay’s take on the ordeal. I’m looking forward to some Sangria & cheesecake 🙂 Mmm… Each token is $1 a piece and each food/drink/dessert item ranges from 1-5 tokens.
  3. 18 Embarrassing Beauty Problems (Link) – 🙂 Don’t be embarrassed! I would bet that each of us has at least 2 of these issues.
  4. 75 Ways to Be Your Healthiest Ever (Link) – Ya’ll know I’m a sucker for articles about health and fitness! Except I might have already linked to this article. Oh well, it’s worth reading again (…and again).
  5. Gluten Free? (Link) – Time to educate myself.

Dear John (the movie, not the book) is coming via NetFlix today. Have you seen it? What are your thoughts? I’m looking forward to it…

Lettttt’s do F A S H I O N 🙂

Store of the day is: HOLLISTER

Total: $130.78

Links: SWEATER, tank, JEANS, sandals

I can’t tell you how much I love mixing patterns 🙂

Want me to do a G U Y outfit now?…

Total: $256.39 (Keep in mind, however, that you probably already have the jeans, flops, and t-shirt)

Links: JACKET, button-down, T-SHIRT, jeans, SANDALS

If these outfits were on a couple, they’d be the sexiest couple in town! Those new button-down hoodie things are so neat.

  1. 10 Reasons to Use an Exercise Ball as Your Chair (Link) – Earlier this week I purchased an exercise ball to replace my chair at work. Initially, I bought it hoping to improve my posture. This article has a list of other ways it can benefit you. I’m really excited to give it a try, and I’ll let you know how it works out. Want one of your own? This is the one I chose…YogaAccessories Yoga Balance Ball w/ Pump (I actually got a 75cm purple ball for $12.99, so let it sit in your cart for awhile and see if the price decreases). My biggest fear going into it? One word… P O P ! 🙂

AOL just cranked out a bunch of cool new articles. Stay tuned…

  1. Bristol Palin & Levi Johnston split…AGAIN (Link) – Quit acting like a child. Period. She is definitely not on the path to following in her mother’s footsteps.
  2. Work & ADHD (Link) – I have enormous trouble staying on task at work or at school. This article offers really interesting tips on how to deal with it, including: (a) Don’t rush big work decisions, (b) Do boring tasks first, (c) Set your phone to vibrate at intervals to remind you to stay on task.
  3. 72 million Obese Americans (Link) – I think I just gagged a little. The rate of obesity has actually increased by 1.1% since 2007. I can’t believe that, since there is so much work being done to prevent it (between Michelle Obama’s campaign, more activity in schools, etc.). You might think that 1.1% is tiny, but that’s 2.4 million MORE people than in 2007! I’m honestly at the point of giving up hope. We live in a fat nation, and clearly there’s little we can do to change that. ALL of my hope lies in Jillian Michaels. She’s brilliant. To be honest, if there were more people who made it their job to create healthier lifestyles for families who are obese, we’d be moving forward a lot faster in fixing the obesity epidemic.

I’m really sad to think that I’ll probably never be able (or willing) to afford a Coach handbag. A girl can dream, though, can’t she?…

Madison Embossed Exotic Audrey ($598)

Mia Ocelot Print Carryall ($298)

Poppy Pop C Applique Glam Tote ($278) Favorite! 😦

😦 😦 😦 Someday. Maybe I’ll make that my next thing to save up for.

Welllll, I’d better head out. Have a wonderful day everybody!!!
